The Christmas season is an important time for us, and a moment to support the community we’re proud to be part of. This week, members of our marketing team visited Wrexham Foodbank to meet the volunteers, learn more about their work, and deliver a donation of dog food to help local pet owners who may be struggling over the winter months.
Supporting a Charity Making a Real Difference
Wrexham Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust network, provides emergency food and practical support to people facing difficult circumstances. Alongside food parcels, they help connect individuals with wider support services that can address the challenges behind a crisis, offering both immediate relief and longer-term guidance. Their volunteers create a warm, welcoming environment for anyone who comes through their doors, ensuring people feel supported with dignity and care. Their dedication to helping individuals through difficult moments is one of the reasons we’re proud to support them.
A Message from Wrexham Foodbank
“At Wrexham Foodbank, we believe no one in our community should have to face going hungry. Our volunteers work hard to provide emergency food and support to people referred to us during difficult times. All of our food is generously donated by individuals, churches, community groups and organisations, then sorted and packed by volunteers. We work closely with referral partners such as health visitors, social workers and charities, and when clients visit our centres, volunteers offer a warm welcome, a hot drink and signposting to services that can help with longer-term challenges. We rely entirely on donated non-perishable food, toiletries and household items, and smaller pack sizes are especially helpful as they allow us to tailor parcels to each household.”
